I've been having a look at this as a possible contender for my first 100 miler.

I've done a few 60 to 65 mile rides, and a handful of 50 miles in the Peak District, so I was kinda wondering what you more experienced guys thoughts are on this being a chance to crack the 100 for me?

It's on the 25th September...

Thanks in advance for the words of wisdom. :bicycle:

looks a nice route, fairly flat. Bit like you, done a few now around 70 to 80, and one 87, also in peaks.
Doing 100 out of York Sunday, first time, will report back, clubmates tell me it will be a doddle!

Keep up the regular riding, if I wasn't in the States I would consider that ride as well.

I did the Rut last year. It's actually a very nice route, on some decent quiet, rolling roads through very nice countryside.
No major climbs or anything too steep, and probably a nice introduction to cracking the century barrier. Oh, and Kilo to go events are usually well run.

Last year though, you would have been better of with a canoe than a bike. It hammered it down all the way round. The first feed station looked like a flood victim rescue centre

An aside but now I know what Kilo to go means!!!! I have a "Kilo to go" jersey and you unsure what it meant  Thanks Perplexed

I've got a Kilo to Go jersey too, and I quite fancied doing this ride anyway, purely to be able to say that I'd done a
100 mile "rut" at the weekend!
