Itching to get back on my bike's
Location

hi everyone

i have an odd size - 5'11.5" height with a largish 35 inch inseam.
am looking to buy a Kestrel RT-1000 online.
Which size should i go for - 56"(L) or 59"(XL) - http://www.kestrelbicycles.com/archive/2016/rt-1000-shimano-105- - the sizing specs are confusing !!

Disclaimer - am getting this shipped to a location where there is no store, so dont have the option of going to the store and trying one.

thanks !!

thats a tough one , and i think i would be trying to work out how i can go and try before buying one and ending up with the wrong size

I'd go for the 56. It's generally easier to upsize the fit of a smaller bike than it is to downsize a larger one.

You do have very long legs for your height. I am 2" taller than you but with a 34" inseam and usually use a 59cm. Don't forget there's a sloping top tube on the bike so that gives you more leaway. I would definitely go for the 59, you might even need the XXL but as Biggs says without trying its a bit of a shot in the dark.

I know it may be a lot of hassle but would they let you return it to swap it if you paid the extra carriage if it turned out not to be right?
