Kestrel Build Begins

Got Hercules Kestrel frame and forks back from getting a nice coat of black. As there was very little original kit left on it and the original forks were rusted beyond safe use stage, I'm not going to get precious about originality in this build. Youngest son has asked me to put a fixed wheel bike together for him so with that in mind I cold set rear dropouts to 115mm prior to putting to the paint shop. So far since have refaced bottom bracket and headtube fitted Baylis Wiley BB cups with TA344 axle, ETC headset, one of the few available with a 27mm crown race. Luglined the frame, fitted headbadge and home made frame decals
