According to l'Equipe, he missed one test and gave imprecise details about his availability for testing on another 2 occasions. Baugé's lawyer claims that he was ill on the day that he missed the test and maintains that there is no provision for the UCI to strip him of his titles anyway. According to him, the FFC's retroactive suspension (without retroactive disqualification, apparently) was correct and as far as it should have gone. There doesn't seem to be any explanation why the missed tests were not reported to the FFC until after Baugé had competed. Une mystère...
So it's now in the sweaty palms of the lawyers. Shame for cycling, shame for Baugé, because he's an excellent track cyclist. It's a shame also for Kenny because his hold on the gold won't be secure until the lawyers have finished squabbling.
EDIT: her to him - I mistook the abbreviation Me (Maître) for Mme. I really need to refresh my French
