I've got some that came as stock on my Bowery. Kontenders I think. People keep telling me to change them cause they're crap, but to be honest I've had no reason to so far. They're comfortable, grippy enough, and they seem to be wearing well even though I skid a lot (hipster that I am). Heavy though, but all cheap tyres are.

My SCR2.0 came with Kenda Kontenders, and were the reason I carried 3 tubes on a 13 mile commute - p* very easily on Manchester's roads, I found. Then, after 350 miles, the rear tyre's carcase began to separate from the bead.

On the upside, nice and grippy though.

Living in Bangkok has its advantages and disadvantages - on the plus side, I get cheap parts and cheap servicing; it cost me just over £20 for a complete wheel rebuild, two sets of brake blocks and a complete service including clean, shine and polish. On the minus side, I don't have the same choice as I had back in the UK.
My latest hybrid came with a pair of 700x35 tyres which I immediately swapped for 700x32s. I changed my tyres last week to Kenda Kwick Trax and I only got them because there were bo others available!
It's early days yet but, first impressions:- well made, cheap and has some puncture protection called 'Iron Cap' - "A layer of material that runs from bead to bead under the tread to prevent flats. I've got Kenda's on my commuter - a Giant CRS hybred - as that's what it came with. I'd agree with Kyuss and Gerry - not seen anyone recommend them, but they work well - I've done over a 1000 miles on mine and not had a p* yet.

Used on road and gravel type paths, rain or shine and they seem good and grippy - only had one slippy loss of grip moment (on ice) but that barely worth mentioning.

I had kendas on my old Airnimal as they were one of the few brands that made the 24inch size. Impressions - not good. Wore out quickly, not great puncture protection and grip in the wet was poor. They might just have been rubbish in that size, but I've not bothered with Kendas since.

I have Kenda K West slicks on my mtb at the moment. Cheap, and they're not going to do a stunning mileage. Grip quite well in both wet and dry. I keep them well inflated (Max minus about 10%) and at that they don't seem to be plagued by p*s, (but I do carry a spare tube with me).

When they've worn out I'll go back to respectable tyres though.

I have Kenda (Kontenders I think) on my Pompino; they came as std. At first, I had my reservations and wasn't expecting great things from them. 2800km later and I have pretty much forgotten about them, and I ride some pretty mucky, wet & wintery roads. To be honest, they've not skipped a beat.

I've had the Kwests I think, they were on an MTB for commuting. Did fine for a cheap tyre.

Anyone tried the folding Kalientes in 700 by 23?
I've not used anything else on my quickest bike and really do like them.

I have these on my hybrid - Kenda Khan 700x38c With K-Shield Puncture Protection.
They have done over 2000 miles so far,not one puncture and the tread is still like new.Always inflated to max psi of 85. My road bike came with kenda Kampaigns but i changed them after 45 miles for no other reason than i got vittoria rubinos because they are red and black and look very nice.Will keep the kendas for spares for sure.
