Hi

I have one of those jackets although its yellow. The jacket is very light in terms of weight. The jacket does keep in warmth and offer protection from the rain. Iv only managed short 20 mile rides but the jacket is very comfortable to wear

I just wanted to post to say how awful that photo is! Surprised you'd want to buy a jacket on the back of that image!

I went to have alook at these today with the itention of buying, but on inspection it did seems as if it would be a sweatbag.

Whilst there I did pick up one of these...

Should be OK for going on over a dry-weave t-shirt if its not raining.

Also,it has 3 open pockes on the back, Im guessing for water bottles, and one zipped pocket that would be OK for phone or keys.

Quite like thelook of KevinGs suggestion.

Just got back from MTBing in Dalby Forest, N Yorks. Went out with the missus and it was fine, got one of these jackets and took it with me in the rear pocket of my windproof top. It then tipped it down, was out for two hours in a downpour ! But got to say my top half was bone dry, didn't get too warm either ! Excellent waterproof qualities.

I have a couple of those jerseys too, the orange one and another in blue.

During the winter they have been fine over a base layer and the pockets are useful.

The jacket is pretty good value for money. I got one a few weeks ago whilst in Sports Direct, I didn't actually realise they did bike stuff.

Have worn it on my commute and it keeps you warm and dry. As far as breathability goes, it doesn't really!!. But its not as bad moisture wise as the cheap Crane Sports yellow one I had been using so probably comparable to something along those lines.

And yeah, it really is very Orange indeed!. As already mentioned the photos of it on the website are pretty crap, its actually quite a good looking jacket in the flesh. ;)

I have one. Very warm and waterproof but definately not breathable so I get home just as wet (but warmer) than if I had not bothered.

I actually think most of their stuff is okay. I have a short jersey in orange and a longsleeve tee in blue; both pretty good value for money if you ask me. I also have a jacket in the blue which, complete with the longsleeve blue jersey, kept my top half going over the Mendips during the icy Xmas period.

Have to say, I wanted to buy a large partly because at the time I was bigger and secondly because the medium felt like it might rip underneath the arms when I leant forward! Unfortunately now, with the wind against me, it's rather like having a parachute on-board.

Oh, despite not having a problem with the material the damn, wretched zips are XXXX! Why oh why oh why oh why...

That reminds me, the Karrimor jackets are a little on the "large" side as far as sizing goes in my opinion.

I am usually a large but the Karrimor jacket in "L" was huge on me. I got the medium ( I'm a 42" chest ) and even then I reckon its slightly "flappy" in the wind, could probably have got away with a Small.

Worth knowing if anyone is thinking about mail ordering one of these jackets. ;)
