Four cyclists down in three days, but no fatalities.
A cyclist suffered a chest injury after being hit by a lorry in east London.
The incident, which took place in Lea Bridge Road, opposite Lea Valley ice rink, is the fourth accident involving a cyclist to take place in the road this week.
Police, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance were called to the scene at 7.25am this morning.
The cyclist, believed to be in his 40s, has been taken in an ambulance to a hospital in east London.
Waltham Forest police tweeted there was a diesel spillage in the road this morning.
A spokeswoman for the LAS: "We were called at 7.25am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a cyclist. We treated a man in his 40s for a chest injury.
"He was taken to the Royal London Hospital as a priority."
Another cyclist in his 50s was hit by a van on Tuesday on the same road, while a cyclist was hit by a car in Whipps Cross Roundabout, Waltham Forest on Monday.
Another cyclist was today fighting for his life in hospital after a separate crash yesterday.
The man, believed to be in his 50s or 60s, was airlifted to hospital for treatment for head injuries.
Police said they were called to the crash in Nothwood Hills, north-west London, at around 2.40pm yesterday.
