What he did was truly disgusting and on a completely different level to most crashes and accidents that happen between other road users and cyclists. i still feel that this punishment is not harsh enough when you take into account his previous reported incidents with cyclists and his position in society.

What makes me sad is some of the comments on a few of the newspaper websites reporting it. Yeah, I know I shouldn't read them but sometimes I can't stop myself.

So many were a long the lines of "they deserved it because I saw a cyclist do something wrong once" - I just don't understand how people can have that mentality.
