Well done on your 40 minute ride & discovering a nice country lane :wahhey: There's nothing quite as enjoyable as getting out on your bike and discovering new country lanes/etc.

Well done, just keep it up.

People drive like loons everywhere.

Path etiquette - people ride like loons everywhere ;)

I find that if I try to stick to same rules as the road (ride on the left) I generally get on alright. It's just a shame that others don't do the same, I've lost count of the number of cyclists that believe riding on the right is how it's done!

Well done btw, good ole country lanes eh
Too many American T.V shows.

Well done Skyrocket!:highfive: Discovering new places that you wouldn't go to or can't get to in a car is one of the joys of cycling.

If you don't already have one, an Ordnance Survey Explorer map covering your area is worth having as it'll show all the local lanes and bridleways in detail (cycles are allowed on bridleways which may give you some more options for exploring).

Well done SkyRocket. I've found cycling on quiet roads a great way to build confidence riding.

Keep us updated on your progress :-)
