Just itching to get out on my new bike….

and the world has turned white.

Sold the road bike yesterday, then dashed off to the LBS to pick up the new one.
It was dark by the time I got home so no test run, but I was up before dawn to fit the bits & bobs on.
The darkness receded to reveal….. frost.

Anyone got a blow lamp?

Cheers,
Paul G

Looks ready to rock and roll but think you're wise not going out...you don't want to scratch it! What model is it?

Leave it until after lunch, weather reports say a warm day. Better than sliding your new bike

Nice looking bike that.

Just back from a 9 mile test run. Flippin' marvellous.

Just one minor "border" incident.
As you cross the river bridge from Suffolk back into Essex it's followed by a rough area of tarmac where the railway lines
used to run. As I crossed this my seat dropped about 10cm and frightened the life out of me. It's held by one of those
over centre quick release clamps so a couple of turns on the nut and it clamped up tighter.

There's a hill mountain soon after this that I've never managed to bike up. Get off and walk has been the norm.
Well today I almost made it. Got within two telegraph poles of the summit before I had to stop, but after a three minute
rest I rode up the rest of it. :wahhey:

The gear change triggers will take time to get used to, as will the shape of the seat, but all in all a great ride.

Cheers,
Paul G
