Enjoy. 13mph average is certainly doable. Far too much climbing for a Norfolk Dumpling like me though. I'm shattered after climbing nearly 600' today.

I think that the climbing is the thing that'll push me the most tbh.

Cheers all, looking at upgrading my standard wheels before the event too.
Looking at shimano rs31 as a replacement that's not gonna cost me the earth.
The bike is a 2015 giant defy5 and if I remember correctly in is 8 speed (there in lies the problem) I'm cycling on a budget and can't afford new 105 11speed just yet let alone the carbon forks this bike really needs.
