Disguised as a bike ride.
Just got back from the Verenti Rut sportive. Verenti Wet would have been more apt. Most of the roads were rivers, and that coupled with the howling gale made the ride somewhat "interesting" to say the least.
Like the majority of riders, I got to the split point, and decided that there was no disgrace in taking the 75 mile, short option, rather than battling on for 101 miles.
Cracking route though, beautiful rolling countryside around Rutland (what I could see of it through the downpour). Would have made for a brilliant route in better weather.
