Juddering Rear Mech

Noted a new noise at the rear so I went through the process of re indexing my gears to make them smooth.

I have indexed my gears many times. When I am in the largest cog at the back and smallest at the front my rear mech judders up and down, not a lot but enough not to right. I have used the screws to change the reach of the mech with no joy, re indexed, checked cable tension.....

What else do I need to try to make it smooth again?

Cheers Mr P

Is the chain or cassette worn?

what rusky hints at?

something not running well in those gears is transmitting the tension to the spring in the rear mech, so maybe not the rear mech

I don't think the chain or cassette is worn. But do agree with GA, check the b tension screw to lower the derallieur a little.

just spent the past hour trying the screws again. No joy. Is their anything else I can try?, could the mech have moved or something?, may need to go to the LBS

Has The rear mech hanger taken a bash? How does the mech alignment look to the eye in lowest gear?
