Look for the ' Touring and Expedition ' section in this forum, it has a subsection covering end to end topics which should help you make a plan:smile:.

I dare say that if there is a group and you would like to have a support vehicle / escort for some bits (A30 springs to mind) / someone for the remote sections then give me a shout.

Although only been doing this officially for a couple of years, the military side of me loves he planning and meticulous detail bit. Big Defender 110 fully stocked, kitted out and takes your luggage for you, fills the ice bath and ensures dinner is ready by the time you arrive.

Have got a couple of London to brightons booked for the summer, but first come first served if you want dates.

An organised Holiday will charge between £1200 and £2000 depending on accommodation required, and has a minimum of 10 people (so they are looking at bringing in £20k before payng out for hotels etc)

I'd throw the idea of a cost per mile "out there" with a transport cost to and from, or a flat day rate all in.

10 - 14 days I assume that would be either 5 days, rest, 4 days (10 day) or up to 4, rest, 4, rest, 4 (14 days) therefore between 110 miles a day or down to 80 a day.

I'd suggest that anthing be split to number of days, and location. Such that the longer the time, the lower the rate card. Two days from JOG would have to include transport to and from, plus the acutal ridden miles. In Central England could do just the miles ridden rate, and longer periods would defalt to a day rate.

Something like:
Days South North (of Manchester)
1 Per mile, plus transport
2 " "
3 Day rate Day plus transport
4 " "
5 " "
6 " "
7+ Day rate

Jannie and I are planning to do LEJOG next July/August over 14-21 days.

If you go onto the Touring section of this site the LEJOG section is at the top of the page.

I am finding the Cicerone Guide The End To End Cycle Route very useful. It is a little brown book you can get from E Bay or Amazon.

I hate to mention a different website, but the CTC message boards have an excellent LEJoG / JoGLE forum with lots of very knowledgeable posters
