jockey wheels compatability

I have just picked up my 2350 50 and 34t chain rings and asked for some jockey wheels (on the phone)

Just got some bbb's with ceramic bearings which is great, but it only makes reference to 9/10 speed shimano and campag. Will it work with ny 8 speed derallier?

not sure however,its quite possible that 9/10 speed are slightly narrower than the 8spd?

I only know that the basic set of BBB jockey wheels are the same externally for all speeds but you change the small plastic washer in the middle according to the speed, what difference it makes I'm unsure and I doubt it'll make any.

It does have 20 plastic shim things of different sizes, so will look at replacing then later and see what happens

Update: bottom jockey wheel is a 13 t, so the 11t ten speed ones too small. The top is an 11t though so I've switched that out and greased up the bottom one so will see how that fairs

Don't know if 10 speed work if 8 speed but 8 speed jockey wheel is to wide with 10 speed chain as the chain can leave jockey wheel and jam between wheel and mech , the other way might be ok as long as chain is not rubbing against the mech , found this out when I used the wrong bushes , number of teeth should not matter as links are all the same length.
