I made the stupid mistake today of telling my mate that I'd not had a puncture for ages now. You won't need 3 guesses to guess what happened...

I'm going to take a wild guess that you rode over something that either penetrated your tyre and inner tube or was of sufficient roughness to create a pinch puncture.

This is nothing whatsoever to do with any conversation you've ever had or any erroneous thought you've ever had. Unless they involved you making a decision to aim at potholes, glass and thorns, when out riding.

Obviously I retract this totally if it turns out that you have spooky 'mind powers'.

It was a massive, sharp, flint like stone. Must have been an inch long! and complete sunk in my tyre and inner tube.

No - I'm not superstitious or a believer in fate. Just a strange irony that I'd not had one for ages and then along it came. Fortunately I've learnt the hard way that it is well worth carrying spare tubes and tyre leavers.

i went 7 months without a puncture, then i had 2 in 2 consective days!!! strange things lol
