Jennings River Ride - Lake District

Im entering the above ride on sunday 18th sept - the 35 mile route - has anyone else entered - or done it before - if so whats it like

Lake District is a fabulous place to ride.
Make sure your brakes are in tip-top condition, from the look of the OS map the Whinlatter isn't too steep uphill going that way round but there are a couple of >chevrons> on the route down into Braithwaite.

Yes - you might even be lucky with the weather.

The roads will certainly be clean after the amount of rain we've had recently.

The weather down in Kendal was good most of the day so I reckon the riding might have been quite pleasant

ok - I found whinlatter pass easy - but the lead upto it from lowton to the pass was hard - however I will do it again next year - I will need to do more training on hills

Where did you stay when you did the ride? were thinking of going up to the Lakes the weekend after the next and would be interested in your advice. thank you.
