I bought the frame for my nice bike there, plus a few other bits and bobs. Would happily use again if they had something I wanted

Unimpressed.

A couple of years ago I ordered a 23mm Continental Ultrasport folding tyre in blue. One week later up turned a 25mm Ultra sport, rigid, colour black. Conti had correctly labled the tyre, JEJ had mis-labled it two inches away from the factory tag.

There was a long thread running on Bikeradar with too many moans about this firm for comfort.

I bought some tyres last year. I got an email saying they would be delivered the following day, so I stayed in. They didnt show. JeJames chased it up, and they were delivered a day later. The driver let it slip he couldn't be bothered to take a detour to deliver them the day before... in conclusion - Jejames are good, the courier is not... I now go and collect from the store.

Here for rides.
bought a lot of small stuff from them over the last 5 years without problem, most recent transaction was this week and I was left 100% happy.

Looks like they've upped their game then, maybe I'll give them another try as their prices are very good.

I ordered my Crud RoadRacer MkIIs from them, and they came quickly. But, their warehouse is only about 4 miles away, and their store is also about 4 miles away.

Not had any issues with the store either except that I can't find my way around it.

One order - out of stock, no replenishment, despite several e-mails it kept on showing as in stock on their website.
Next - showed "low stock" so not hopeful... but turned up very quickly - although with no confirming email that they had despatched (as is the case with other retailers)

Their Rotherham store is cluttered. The staff there seem unmotivated and not very customer focused. Their website is a mess with too many out of stock items showing.

I've pretty much given up on them.

I now shop at Chain Reaction, High On Bikes, Pro Bike Kit, Parker International (online) and Decathlon Sport (Shop)

They used to be crap - check for previous threads on CC. Almost impossible to contact by phone, website stock levels inaccurate etc.

<Bump>!

I'm bumping this thread with my recent experience. I resisted posting until I'd seen how my issues panned out.
I ordered some new Endura Strike waterproof gloves after i ripped the old ones in a crash. JeJames sent them out, but I got a call the day after while I was at work asking if they were the right size as they'd found some large had been misslabelled medium (I'd ordered medium.)
When I got back turns out the gloves were large, and although the difference isn't that much they were too big. I went on line and saw on the returns form that I could email for a pre paid postage label and send them back, as it was their error. After two weeks (I'm patient!) I looked again and saw in the returns bit of the website they refund postage when a return is their fault, but that they ask for returns within 14 days.
So, sent the gloves back with form and covering letter explaining the delay and I've just collected the correct size from the courier with a receipt for the refund of my postage.
Although it'd be better not to have had the original error, they called as soon as they were aware and repaced the gloves without quibble even after my delay. Things go wrong from time to time, and as far as I can see JeJames in this case sorted it out well.
Hope they adjust the form on the website to prevent confusion. I understand why they refund rather than prepay, as then people who aren't as honest as us CCers will say it's their fault when it isn't to get free postage!
