I hurt my back sometime last week and haven't been out on the bike for a week (so depressing), decided to go out for a small city ride today (as it's so windy, it'd be terrible by the river), it was only about 12km or so on my new road bike which I have only rode for longer than 5km once before and it's like learning to ride all over again, my back was again a little sore, I got a stitch for the first time ever when cycling, and I was quite knackered when I got home (but this could have been my own fault, I was dehydrated, nearly fainted when I got in, don't scald me please!

I did break my PB for max speed and avg. speed. My average speed on a MTB was around 20km/h, but on a road bike it was 32km/h, I'm not sure what my max was for MTB but it was around 35km/h, my max for the ride I just did was 65km/h (I must have been going downhill ), so yeah, really enjoying it but need to get used to the position, I was assessing how I rode and how I should ride and I'm so used to riding quite slumped that I try to do it on the road bike, but realise I need to have a more straight back.
