Well I decided to take advantage of the CRC £299 offer on the Vitus Alios and asked them to deliver it today, thankfully I ordered it before the price went back up

Well its arrived and I've done the bits of assembly, taken it up the road and down again, to check it all works.

I'm currently waiting for Mrs Jeltz to arrive home and take over the looking after kids so I can take it out for a proper go. Initial impressions are very good and living on a steep hill I was rather surprised how easy it was to get up in comparison with the cheap Raleigh MTB I have ;)

I don't know why but I was expecting the saddle to be a little uncomfortable, but its fine and I think I have the fit pretty much sorted but now doubt I'll have the off tweak to do.

It came with some cheap lights, a bell and reflectors none of which fit the bike, but since I wasn't expecting them in te 1st place it's a minor thing! Also came with come road pedals and cleats, shame I'm going to be using spd's, but they may come in handy later.

Just hoping the rain stops and it brightens up in the next hour.

That looks quite a tasty bike, jeltz!

Hope you've got the red gear to match it! ;)

Not quite, still struggling with the whole Lycra thing ;) its just so not me!

Just bought some cheap shorts but I'll be wearing them under baggies!

I have been looking into bib shorts but the hilarity in our hosehold when I tried on the shorts was rather high, I can't imagine the response bibs would bring.

I've been out and done about 6 miles to check the fit, made some small adjustments and compared to my BSO MTB its really quick, and so light. Very, very pleased. Well I've done 50 on my MTB and the way this one moves 50 will be a dodle, hopefully I'm off out with the local CC on Sunday which will be a 32 miler and I think I'm going to be able to keep up a bit better than usual. The last time I did the rid that they are doing on Sunday I got up to 39.2 MPH on a nice downhill wonder if I'll get faster this time?

Don't worry. I cycled round one of our local chav estates wearing full CC bibshorts and top the other day, to visit my brother who lives on the better part of the estate, didn't bother me.
P.S. Whats a hosehold.
