Just got this delivered.

Is the valve suppose to unscrew at the base to install the longer ones?

No, that is a fully removable valve (Red One) is for replacing the standard valve, however I cannot get the standard one off, I don’t want to twist it to hard in case it’s not suppose to come off!

The gold coloured ones only have a removable valve core (top bit), whereas the red ones are wholly removable (as you know). They isogrip or 3D?

I'm almost 100% sure - I've made that mistake wth some cheap Vittoria training tubs.

You could unscrew the cores from both the red and gold valves, insert the red (now core-less) valve into the gold valve, then insert the valve core into the red valve (at the opposite end to where it is now) - or just buy valve extenders of the correct length...

Glad they're not 3D, they're a nightmare in the wet (Planet X fobbed me off with some old-stock 3Ds a month or so ago...)

Can any confirm that these will be ok and long enough for 50mm tubs?

The existing valves stick out about 35mm, so that will be 31+35 = 66mm.

I use 40mm extenders on 50mm tubs...

Got 50mm wheels ordered, the current valve is only 35mm so will not poke out
