Hi All,
I brought this bike second hand so I suspect its been through a bit, but I was gutted when bit that the rear derailleur fixes onto snapped. Can this be prepared? Is it worth doing?
Any advise?
Best
Steve

You should be able to buy a new derailleur hanger - just Google the name of the frame + derailleur hanger.

But, it looks like whatever caused the hanger to snap also took a chunk out of the dropout and half the mudguard eye. It's difficult to tell from the photos how much dropout is left holding the axle and whether it's intact.

Far from finished. The hanger is a sacrificial part that's designed to break if the derailleur is hit thus saving the aluminium frame. My guess is it's been knocked previously.
SJS have loads, the difficult part is identifying it, usually best by make:

Can't really tell if the dropout is still serviceable but looks to be. As long as the axle still locates properly.

Its not a mudguard eye but the rear screw hole for the hanger. Id get a new hanger and screw in place and use some chemical metal and make good the chipped screw hole.

The R/H carbon seat stay looks bent?
What’s hiding under the black tape?
Can you remove and send another close up pic.
