Is there a Flexstem for modern bikes?

My sister has just dumped her heavy old front-suspension BSO and bought a nice light hybrid but she has a chronic bad wrist and is finding the road shock through the bars painful. She loves the speed of the hybrid and wants to carry on commuting on it; I thought about a Girvin Flexstem but realise that they were made for quill stems. Can anybody suggest any other flexible sprung stem for a modern Ahead type steerer?

Two words - 'tyre pressure'

Try the current Rose catalogue.

A few more words - you can also run the front (the one that matters in this case) quite a bit softer than the rear because the rear takes more weight.
I usually run my front tyres about 10 PSI lower than the rear. I use relatively low pressures - for my 23c tyres it is usually 85-90 PSI front and 95-100 PSI rear
Sorry Ben, this completely slipped my mind, a lot of bromide riders use these and rate them highly...vibration is a big issue on little wheels....suspension hubs...
