I can imagine the stylist (?) agonising over the choice of decal colour but beyond that I'm pretty sure they didn't earn their corn that day.

Get rid of the garish tyre decals and the mechanical groupset and you've got yourself a bike!

Being of an oldish-fart persuasion I think that many of the "modern" bikes look frankly ridiculous - cf Clarkson's view of motorbike riders as Power Rangers...

These more understated bikes are all the better for it, IMHO.

Fugly doesn't even begin to describe that thing. And where are you supposed to mount a pannier rack?

I'm patiently waiting for "fashion" to move on from matt black frames with black decals, black finishing kit and black bar tape. Even some of the hideous neon creations from the 90's looked better- at least there was some variety.

On the plus side, to my wife one matt black bike looks pretty much the same as another which is handy for those n+1 moments!
