Is there a catch - Dawes 701 ?

Currently looking for a road bike or hybrid, keep changing my mind which suits best, is there a catch with this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dawes-Mens-700c-Discovery-Hybrid/dp/B005HT4RAI how can it be half the price compared with numerous well known shops ?

Even at £500, is it a good buy compared with the Boardman and Trek at a similar price ?

Half price, never bad...good looking spec, carbon forks, bar ends, tiagra gearing (I am guessing the Trek and Boardman have Alivio or Deore at best?) http://www.dawescycles.com/p-397-discovery-701.aspx , not the lightest at 12kg but I expect that's pretty normal for a hybrid, you may want thinner tyres to speed it up a bit or stick with the 32s for comfort and grip in the winter

I think that's a real bargain. I paid more than that for the 601 and the spec on the 701 is better (though I prefer the hydraulic disc brakes on the 601). I'd be gutted if it weren't for the fact that I'd have been off the road if I hadn't bought mine in March.
