Is it unwise to fit a 32mm inner tube to a 28mm tyre?

Hi - I stupidly bought a 32mm inner tube, thinking my tyres were 32mm, but they're actually 28mm - would it be unwise to try to fit the 32mm into the tyre? I know it would be best to get the correct inner tube, but I was hoping to be able to use the bike for a ride tomorrow morning and won't be able to get the right inner tube until later in the day... Thanks

Put just enough air in the tube for it to hold its shape then install it in the tyre and see what it looks like.

One makers nominal 32mm is another maker's nominal 28mm, you'll probably get away with it.
