Have i Broke it??????

Hi all,

Was out tonight on a wee run and i noticed a dull clunk, tied to a vibration, when the right pedal is almost at the top of the turn. I think it might be the crank or something in there, but its only done about 100miles. Was too cold to fanny about when i got home.

I did lift the back wheel and do a couple of revolutions, but cant feel it when not under stress. i think it happens on all three front cogs, but TBH, only noticed it on the midddle one.

Sounds like a lose crank, just tighten it up, as it's a new bike I would guess it's just one allen key bolt in the centre, check left and right, if it's lose, it will be obvious when you start to tighten it.

...and do it soon before the crank starts to round off at the taper. It'll need a new crank if it does.

If it's new, from a shop, just pop it back, and chat and find out the problem.

Loose crank, chain rings, pedal, bottom bracket - check the lot

cheers,

tried to tighten the crank, (both sides on hexi bolt) but both were solid.

Also, not sure if it mattters, but no play whatsoever when trying to "shoogle" it.

It's a brand new bike, but sat in uncles garage for a while, he got injured just after he bought it and never managed, or had the desire to ride it.

I'll check tomorrow to see if it on all three of the front triple set, and if so, I'll try and find a bike mechanic to look at it.
