Is an original Marin Muirwoods any good?

I've been told that it has a Cromo Tange frame. Does any one know if these bikes/frames any good?

My Bear Valley is the same frame, it's not the lightest but it's soaked up a lot of punishment over the years: I think it harks from the same era as the Muirwoods.

My Diamond Back is from a similar era, and Tange Cromo. Tough as old boots.

Powder coat it yellow. Hang your stuff off it. ride it. as has been said; tough as old boots, good ride quality.

My ancient Bobcat Trail pub bike is the same. A solid, comfortable frame. I bought it for £50 from eBay five years ago, made some upgrades/mods for local commuting and painted it matt black. I think it will probably outlast me.

Makes a nice retro MTB.... who needs suspension...only for going down hill fast eh..... what about the up bits - rigid rules......
