As you will have seen it was my birthday this week.My family bought me an ipod.Well considering i am of a generation that used reel to reel tape recorders. The cassette was a brill invention.
Well this thing has blown my socks off.I am not a techy sort of bloke. But hells bells this thing is brilliant.Might not seem much to you all but i have 366 of my fav songs on it so far and still going through my cd's.
But it's so light and small nearly dropped it already. So out to Argos with some of my birthday money for a case of some sort.

Hmm my Christmas pressie iPod seems to have developed a fault where you can't turn the volume all the way down to off.

A case is good - I tried both the hard crystal ones that I hated and I've ended up with a silicone one which I prefer. Probably won't protect it from all but certainly will from scratches.

Ipods are great. I've got the 160GB Classic and it's brilliant. So far I've got 4500 songs, three films, a series of "Creature Comforts" and about 3000 photographs on there and it's still not a quarter full.

you can download videos off youtube and they play fine on my ipod classic. if the audio is pants then i strip out the sound and put a higher quality track on (not in itunes, i hasten to add).

enjoy it!

I have an Ipod Shuffle for sports along with a Classic. The Shuffle is simply amazing when you see the size (much smaller than a box of matches!)

So easier to loose! I know, I'm just a ray of sunshine eh? ;0)

I've got a Nano and I must admit that I never use it. It's a cool thing though.

Apparently, each year about 7b pounds worth of music is lost when people's computers crash and their music is not backed up!

This is the reason I have never ordered music online. I still prefer to get an actual cd, that way I always have a copy.

Perhaps I'm just an old fogey (27yrs)

I prefer to have the actual cd too. Still can't resist reading inlay cards and booklets (though the print really is getting smaller).
