England : Suffolk IPEX 14 sportive 27th April

It looks like one of the first Suffolk Sportives of the year and seeing as for me it is so close to home, I very much hope to be participating in it.

Would be nice to know if anyone else is planning to ride it as the 100 miles always goes quicker with company

That 'hard' rating scares me off!

I can't imagine any hard graded routes in suffolk, that is unless you cycle up the only gentle slope in suffolk at least 100 times

If I understand that grading system, you are climbing at least 2500m... but like you say - In Suffolk???

The highest point is 128 meters and that is in Newmarket. No chance of climbing 2500m in Suffolk, unless you double backed upon yourself a lot.

I am now booked on to this. £22 if booked before the day, £25 on the day.

I will be riding if anyone wants to get a group together . Just ridden the Wiggle Spring Saddle on Sunday at Newmarket and tough ride so a good warm up of those winter legs !!!

@Tony103 @SimonJKH Having a little peleton of our very own would be wonderful, if there are three of us, it means much less time spent in the wind all round.

At this point I probably ought to say I can be recognised as I'll be wearing a pink carnation, but I haven't got that organised yet - more to follow

Cool - sounds good . Just ordered my new 2014 Giant carbon steed today so hoping it will arrive in time for it's first event
