No more arguing about which way round is harder/easier, it's clockwise every year from now on.
Will the weather have warmed up by the beginning of May?

Won't be in the country for it this year, sadly.

Go on, tilt your head!
I'm in...this event a few years back was my first 100km (and then my second the following year). I remember the first time I did this ride (clockwise) the weather was pretty bad and more so as we did the hilly Military Road stint...it was raining sideways!!

Looking forward to this, particularly as the weather forecast is still optimistic. I'm driving down with three bikes and three riders on the Saturday evening, and we're staying in Sandown for the Saturday and Sunday nights, so we're aiming to do the 55km loop starting at Alvestone. My son has never ridden more than 20 miles at a go, so we're keeping our options open. Depending on how things turn out, I might do a quick foray to the SW corner of the island at some point as well.

Do the roads get pretty full up with cyclists?

Waindell,
Just back from the Island - it was freezing!

Supposed to warm up through the week.

There were a lot of cyclists though - although narrow twisty roads and some dodgy driving I found. Especially on the twisty inland roads.
