Hi there

The chain jumped off the small front ring and wedged between the front ring and frame thereby damaging the frame (pics enclosed).

I've approached my insurance company (my bikes are covered under my home insurance). They are asking for a quote to either repair the bike or to advise that the bike is beyond repair. I did approach two bike shops. One mentioned that it would be impossible to tell without the carbon being x-rayed and/or the bike being sent away for analysis.

Tis but a flesh wound. Set your gears up or get a chain catcher, or both.

Do you have accidental damage cover? Otherwise I'm surprised they'll cover? Check the cost to repair vs. claiming with excess

Yes I've got accidental damage. Who would be able to tell me how much to repair or replace? Would that be a bike shop?
