Hi everyone!
Little bogged down with the fact I've managed to get myself a puncture within 2 miles of my first full ride out on my new road bike and have yet to fully remedy the problem.
The tyres that were provided with the bike have schwalbe lugano on them – with "active line K guard" next to the "lugano" text. A quick search on the Schwalbe website says that it means it has a kevlar membrane.. Correct me if I'm wrong?
I'm going to make it my mission to fix this inner tube so that it can be used as an emergency spare whilst out on a ride - but I am looking to get myself back onto the road as soon as I can really.
My questions really are whether these supplied tyres are good to stay with or should I look at something "better"? As for inner tubes, are there any advantages in buying a premium product, say Continental, over a standard product, say Halfords' own brand?
My original plan is to get a new inner tube onto the rear wheel (which tyre has gone flat) so that it's a problem solved and then get to work on repairing the inner tube. Maybe buy some more inner tubes as spares.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
