As of lunch time today I am the proud and chuffed to bits owner of a 2010 model Specialized Secteur Sport . It was for sale in Dales in Glasgow at a very good price, and with summer coming up it was just too tempting. Had a half hour or so test ride and I was very impressed. It will make a good stablemate for my 2009 Tricross which has morphed into a tourer and as a result has gained a bit of weight .

As there is not enough room in the house for the new steed, something had to go.... So my 11 year old Ridgeback Comet which has been sitting gathering dust since the arrival of the Tricross has now been donated to the local Cancer charity shop. I hope it goes to a good home, it is a good bike with everything working as it should, and has served me well over the years. Goodbye old friend :hello:.

Well done....not bad for someone who was only going for a look-see! Bet the guys in Dales loved you, it was a great price though.

Happy Cycling.

Just noticed that it is slightly different to the pic on their website, in that the decals on the down-tube are not the same. On mine "Specialized" is in bigger letters but only in outline, and without the grey background.

I have already changed the wheels on it; for a pair of Shimano RS20s (with Armadillo 700 x 23 tyres) that I used on the Tricross last summer. I think they are better suited to a road bike!

Just ordered a CatEye Strada computer for it. No more toys! Or it will end up putting on too much weight as well .

Cake run sounds good Fran. Hopefully I will now have a better chance of keeping up with you !

They changed that look shortly into the model year, most bikes have the "outline" graphics, a few of the early 2010 bikes (sold in late 2009) had the solid graphics shown on the website.

Great choice of ride, though.
