700 x 25c Marathon Plus. Should I pull the trigger?
I've considered Lugano Plus folding tyres and they appear to be very good but I'm thinking the Marathon+ have an extra little bit of protection and if that is indeed the case then it would be worthy, despite the extra weight and rolling resistance.
This winter I want to ride my bike more than other years but I'm scared of having to fix punctures in the cold / rain. Last November I stayed in the cold too long and caught pneumonia. So this winter I want to ride but I want to do everything I can to minimise the risk of punctures.
BTW, I only do leisure rides and a fair bit of riding is done in country lanes type of roads with plenty of fallen trees and debris
I figure that the extra weight and rolling resistance can only make my legs stronger I'm sure I won't think the same with a strong headwind
So I guess what I'm asking is: are the Marathon + a little bit more puncture proof than the Lugano +?
