In Praise Of...Rainlegs

It was absolutely chucking rain here this morning, and I commute wearing a shirt and slacks with an Altura Evo jacket on top. If anyone hasn't discovered them, Rainlegs are a brilliant alternative to waterproof trousers in that kind of weather. They keep your legs dry, don't make you overheat, and fold away to almost nothing. I have no connection with the company, I just really like the product.

By the look of them they just keep your lap dry, but rain and spray tends to get in everywhere from all directions, I imagine.

I'm sure they work very well but

1 they look like they belong on a JML advert

2 I would have it ripped out of me if I were to turn up at work in a pair of waterproof chaps.

Sure there's a market for them though.

They are really meant for use with mudguards, where they keep your trousers dry except for below the knee.
