Here for rides.
Bearing in mind the rep that Kinetics have built up in other forums it was with no small sense of trepidation that I placed an order with Kinetics for a Sturmey-Archer 8-speed conversion kit for my soon to be delivered Brompton.
I ordered the kit on 8th September, it was suggested two to three weeks for delivery, and the kit arrived today. A little over a month and, as I haven't got the bike* yet, not a problem.
I'll post another review in due course regarding the actualité of fitting said 'kit' which consists of hand built rear wheel with Sturmey-Archer X-RF8 (w) hub, spaced to fit Brompton rear triangle, replacement modified chain tensioner, pair of new Sturmey cranks with a 33t chainwheel, Sturmey twistgrip shifter, cable and bolts antispin washers etc.
*while I was typing this Barnaby of Brixton Cycles rang to say the Brompton is in! Yay!
Except I can't go to get it until 24 October so apparently it is going in the window.
