Yep, been using BikeTart for a while now and have always had great service from them.

The two I've come to use recently are Merlin Bikes and Hopkinson Cycles, who operate at the lower end but also have competitively priced chains. They happen to be close to me but it's easier to have mail order. I tried collection once and it's basically a warehouse masquerading as a bike shop. Well worth a try though.

I recently ordered a bottom bracket from biketart.

It was well-priced, arrived on time and, impressively, was packed in paper. No single use plastic in sight.

They will be top of my list for bike bits.

Which cycle retailer has impressed you, and why?

I have bought quite a few times from Tredz and PlanetX and have found them both very good in terms of pricing and customer service.

I've used Bankruptbikeparts.co.uk quite a few times. The prices usually aren't too bad and they have a few items that are NOS and hard to get elsewhere. It can be a bit hit-and-miss sometimes with stock but overall I've been happy with what I've had. Service is pretty good too but I find they're all pretty good these days.

Lusso Cycle Clothing great quality kit and outstanding customer service. The company is moving towards the full range being made from recycled materials. Everything is handmade in Manchester.

Merlin Bikes
Winstanley Bikes
Tweeks Cycles.

Mostly for their prices and prompt, free deliveries. Have used Biketart before with success and also had a great deal from Lordgun - so long as you’re not in a rush to receive your order.

I had never heard of them. They look interesting - thanks!
