In Praise of Cheap Tools ;-)

I finally got around to new cables and bar tape but I cant rem ember where my cable cutters are  In disgust I went to get some messages from a local supermarket and there on the shelf was a set of cable cutter for £2; they'll probably get blunt fast but they did the trick last night and new cables and bar tape were fitted in time for the Sunday Club Run, I'd forgotten that most of them were away for the annual get away in Pitlochry but another rider turned up and we battled the wind together :becool:

My most useful tool is a "Boys Toyz" multitool that I carry with me all the time. Full set of allen keys, plus 8, 9 and 10mm sockets and screwdrivers. It came in a cheap kit with some wind up lights and a useless pump but other than being a bit heavy it's a great little tool

Groceries, are they not called messages in England? I've no idea why they are called that though.
Is it not because your mam used to send you to the shop with a message? For all you younguns that's a shopping list :-)
Where did you buy the cable cutters because I could do with a pair but I'm loathe to spend £20 on a pair.

Excellent that we can have a mainstream word in another part of the country and another person the other end cannot understand! Sorry for my ignorance!

No apologies necessary  The word which really got me was 'outwith' I use it all the time and have seen it any many reports, its quite a posh word but I wrote a report and nobody English recognised it, que editing and replacing with 'beyond the realms of'
