I got home from this afternoon's ride into town and decided to live dangerously and do some laundry. Got changed, added the day's cycling clobber to the pile.

Fifty five minutes later, just as the wash was coming to an end, I sat bolt upright with the cold knowledge that I hadn't emptied my pockets before shoving my trousers into the machine. Having reduced my fingernails to a mere memory while I waited for the cycle to finish, I then braved the inevitable and dug through the wet clothes to find the right pocket...

It turns out that the Cateye Strada is indeed sufficiently waterproof to survive a wash at 40 degrees. :wahhey:

Reminds himself never to let CJ doing any of his washing! .. they don't work after they've been in a microwave though :whistle::dry:

As someone who, under pressure from impatient relatives, put the Strada wireless on his Chrimbo list earlier today I like this thread. My concern was 'water-proofness' as my current Cateye wired doesn't seem to like rain, but given you're stress test I am feeling muchly reassured:smile:
