Images that pop up from thumbnails on Android

When an image is expanded from a thumbnail it pops up in a fancy semi-transparent overlay window thing. On my Android (Jellybean) tablet it is impossible to scroll the image to see it all because the background page scrolls behind it instead.

In the top right hand corner do you not have the option to view in the images original location?
