I'm worried that Chris Frume might topple or puncture.

I thought the other riders observed an unwritten rule that if the leader of the race happens to fall off, collide with another rider,or suffer a puncture the race will be held up till the problem is rectified. However during yesterday's ITV 4 coverage they kept referring to "He's this years winner providing there are no mishaps" etc. I thought that the other riders didn't challenge the leader on the final stage and the only competitive side to the stage was the green jersey classification, and the prize of winning the final stage itself. Has Chris Frume won the race,or is it not over yet?

The last day is traditionally a procession with, as you say, the green jersey being the only thing left to decide, (generally).

All Froome needs to do is stay upright basically and it's his.

You'll see them drinking champagne earlier in the stage as they ride along as well.

There are 21 stages, not 20. However, the 21st stage is managed as a procession until it gets to Paris and then the teams can race for the final day's honours. He has almost won the race, but he still needs to complete the course. The risks are obvious. But, I suggest the greatest is some form of crash that prevents him riding and completing, eg a broken bone. Unlikely, but not an impossible scenario.

No need to worry about punctures. If he suffers any sort of mechanical, he won't be attacked. The only thing he has to worry about is a serious accident which prevents him from getting back on his bike, and given the relaxed pace of the day, that's unlikely to happen.

That's very profound for a Sunday. ^_^

But Sunday is also a whisky day, too.
