Is there an idiots guide to adjusting gears on this forum anywhere? i mean real basic laymans terms here, total idiots guide please, my chain came off 3 times last night and if it wasnt for the 10 mile ride home the bike would have been launched into a field!! ha

Thanks in advance

'Top gear' is layman's terms for the highest gear, which is what the smallest sprocket (those at the back) give you (with the largest chain-ring = those at the front) ... So yes, I'd say 'top sprocket' is as layman as possible (although this relationship might need to be pointed out).:hello:

Great video even I have seen the light I all ways assumed the H & L screw were to do with the indexing not just stopping the chain hopping off either side.
Dread touching them as a rule would rather drag the bike 15 miles to the nearest shop but i better start having a tweak looks simple enough
