Today I’ve been pottering about in my garage and decided to find and record the frame number of one of my older bikes. The two photos of underneath the BB show stamped numbers 22031 and underneath that are two letters C-R.
From what I can gather from the internet it may have been produced in 1957 ? Can anyone with more knowledge on the subject tell me if I’m correct please.
It’s a Claud Butler Super Coureur that now has a fixed wheel.
Going off on a tangent if I may, is this the sort of bike that has any value to someone that has an interest in older bikes ?
Thanks in advance, all answers appreciated.

Frame numbers in the range 20000-23500 are 1964 production. So, its a mid 1964 machine, going by the frame number.

Close to the bottom of the range, made from plain 'gas pipe', not terribly collectable or valuable. Nevertheless, not unpleasant bikes to ride and even now are very useable machines.

Thanks for your reply Drago, one of the nice things about the frame is that it has a manufacturers label / transfer on it that says the frame has a rustproofing treatment. It certainly has aged well and the small rust marks on it are surface rust from the paint being scratched as opposed to corrosion eating it’s way from within.
And thank you for determining the year of manufacture👍

Nice bike. Certainly of interest to CB enthusiasts but not worth a huge amount.
Thank you Cycleops, this bike is one of four that I own and I’m at that stage in life where I’m trying to reduce the amount of ‘stuff’ that I have accumulated over the years. It is not for sale at the moment but I thought if I can gather a bit of info on the age and desirability of it then I may consider parting with it in the future.
