The other day on a ride Id just came down a big hill when I heard a clunk my first reaction was to stop and check the bike over but couldn't see anything obvious then when
I started a steady hill climb I could hear clunk clunk clunk so I kept stopping frustrated looking at my bike thinking what the hell Is that,It wasn't until I started my decent I looked back at my rear wheel and noticed a slight wobble so I stopped flipped the bike and spun the wheel and confirmed a slight wheel wobble so I unclipped it then re-attached but still the wobble. So until now Ive not had the chance to have a look at it the wheel and tyres look fine and everyone Ive spoke to about it suggest its the bearings one bloke even said his bearings went on the same hill once:whistle: ,Anyhow enough of my ramblings does this sound like a bearings problem? And is it easy to fix? Thanks

have a look here, you will/may also need new cones it's very easy to do and you will need a set of cone spanners very cheap to buy

Right Ive checked the ball bearings and their fine however I did have a snapped spoke could this be a factor because when i put my wheel back on it still has that slight wobble or is my wheel buckled? And if so can this be fixed ?

Spokes can certainly be replaced. You need to figure out the right length (easiest from the two broken bits).
When it's back in you can tighten up the spokes to take out the wobble. See the sticky at the top of the Know How forum.

Kind of depends what you mean by a wobble. leave the wheel in the bike and in contact with the ground the grab the rim. Without turning the wheel can you rock it from side to side? If you can it is bearings (or cones need tightening). Then lift the bike with the back wheel off the ground and spin the back wheel. Watch where it passes the brake blocks. If the wheel appears to wobble between the brake blocks then it is buckled.

if you have a broken spoke you will need to take it to your LBS anyway, they will true it when they put the new spoke in.

If you take it to LBS to replace spoke they should indeed re-true the wheel for you.
You can bet it will cost more than buying a spoke and a spoke-key and fitting it yourself.

For me the cost would be irrelevant because my LBS would not be able to fit the job in for the next three weeks .... and anyway it's an easy job to do yourself, the hardest part is getting the right length spoke.
