Last year was my first real year of cycling and at 68 I was quite pleased to complete the 68 miler.......but I really did struggle.
This winter I forced myself to do 10-20 milers (one per week) so as to have a head start in Spring.
Last Sunday I did a 51 miler and felt good afterwards i.e. not tired. This Friday/Saturday/Sunday I did 22, 34 & 25 milers (got back an hour ago) and am feeling good i.e. not tired and bum not aching much.
I may suffer next week but right now I am feeling quite smug
