In some ways it was funny but I picked him up as I was walking, strangely enough he was going slow but over an icy patch and down he went !

With a bang - though I thought it was sad considering there was about 10 people around no one but me went to help

Was the ass hurt? Why ride an ass in this weather? Couldn't he just walk?

I went over on ice in november last year. My ass also took the brunt of it and boy did it hurt. Always wondered if I fractured my coccyx, and chatting to a doc at work she said its quite likely the way I went down.

It annoyed me because our council always promoted how they grit all the roads. Do they hell. They gritted about 3 local roads last year.

I've been off in ice. Twice and both times on my side/hip. Happened frighteningly quickly too so I was pretty much still on the bike as I hit the ground.

Cleats and ice. Yep one of the reasons I dont ride with SPDs. Still, it didnt help me, the bike just flicked out from under me.
