On my hybrid for commuting. My commute is all country lanes and about 800 yards of woodland track.Looking for fast rolling tyres with good protection that wont bust the bank.
Any recomendations?
Cheers in advance.

I can't recommend Marathon Racer 30mm tyres highly enough. I use these on my winter bike for road and railway trails.

Well i swore a lot this morning.
Friday, pulled bike out of the shed at work to ride home......flat tyre.
Monday, pulled bike out of shed at work to ride home.......flat tyre.
Tuesday,100 yards from work on way home............flat tyre.
Wednesday morning going to work, pitch black, middle of no-where.......flat tyre.
Wednesday afternoon going home,1/4 mile from work..........flat tyre !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All punctures on the rear wheel, checked the inside of tyre each time for fouling object before putting tube back in.
Had 700 x 35's on but i have a pair of virtually new Marathon plus greenguards in the shed which are 700 x 25 but the buggers are going on tonight.:cursing:

Aint it just  On a positive note i now have fitted the Marathon plus's and have gone down from 35's to 25's so should be flying to work and back now ..... hopefully puncture free.

No,decided against it for now,was struggling to get one for under £500 and we've had an expensive run of luck recently.Night before xmas eve the oven packs up,new years day and the tv packs up and sunday the sat nav packed up.May look again in a few months time though.
