A little help required please.

My braking performance in the wet this morning was horrific. Pads are certainly worn but I really need to replace them regardless.

So, I need pads with better braking performance in the wet. Also I'm not sure if i can buy pads only or do i need to buy the blocks with pads. I looked a some pads and they only seem compatible from Shimano 105.

Thanks in advance.

The Koolstops are excellent - bettered only by Swissstop green.
If you really cant run to the expense of the above, then Halt Gooey pads are 90% as good, much cheaper, but wear quicker.

hi i used the koolstop but found they wear very quick in the wet conditions so have had these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Clarks-CPS2...=1388249551&sr=1-9&keywords=clarks+brake+pads fitted to both bikes for a few months now and have to say found them to be equally as good in the wet and also dont wear as quick. dont think you will need the metal blocks as there should be a little grub screw on the side of the blocks which you can undo and the pad slides out.

Thanks for the replies. Going to try the Clarks initially.

Got my new pads and need to fit them.

I tried all my keys on the small hex screw that holds the pads in without success. Can anyone advise what size this is?

Thanks
