Sounds bloody hard, but fantastic!

Interesting to read the route is fairly flat too - good luck!

Good luck. 400 miles is about 644 km, so this is just about what a long audax involves, and many do it that quick including their sleep. Even with the relay your systems - digestion and sleep - will be disrupted. Building up to this with 2,3 & 400k audax rides will help you prepare, there is not much else that can compare. If you can stretch to one of the May 600s you'll have it cracked. Kind Regards Andy

I reckon it would almost be easier to do it as a 'relay Audax', with each rider doing 100-150 km stints. :bicycle:

Doing 2-hr legs is going to be tough, as there is little opportunity for decent rest :tired:

Difficult to know how to train for it - unless you just ride the whole way to Edinburgh, then go back (to save transport costs, of course )

The challenge is for 2-rider teams so each rider 'only' does about 200 miles.

I think it would be harder doing it as six 35 mile legs than a couple of 100 milers. Oops - as Scoosh has already suggested!
